Used Oil - Introduction

The Used Oil Toolbox presents information that can be used to minimize generation of wastes and releases of contaminants from your facility.  The Toolbox also provides ideas for the content of Pollution Prevention (P2) Plans.

The Suggested Best Management Practices (BMPs) for Used Oil includes four topics:

  • General Used Oil Practices
  • Oil Spills and Leaks
  • Oil-Water Separators
  • Floor Cleanup

One or more BMP topic can be selected by checking the SAVE TO PRINT box at the bottom of each section then printed for your use. 

The Used Oil Toolbox also includes references for internet links and P2 information from government agencies, industry trade groups and/or professional associations.
