In Wyoming, pesticide use and applicator training, certification and licensing is under the jurisdiction of the Wyoming Department of Agriculture.

 A relevant statute is the "Wyoming Environmental Pesticide Control Act of 1973" -- W.S. §§ 35-7-350 thru 35-7-375.

Pesticides require special care and handling. The following Best Management Practices (BMPs) outline standard safe, responsible and effective procedures for pesticide use and handling that can help protect public health and our environment.

Have you considered the following cleanup and decontamination practices for equipment and containers?

Sprayers should be cleaned at the application site whenever possible and at a safe distance from wells, lakes, streams and storm drains. The rinsate should be sprayed on a site that is listed on the pesticide.

If not cleaned at the application site, clean pesticide equipment and containers within an impervious curbed area designed to capture and contain spills, leaks, and wash water.

Clean application equipment between incompatible products, different crops, and at the end of the season.
