The Outreach Division...Your Access Point to DEQ
The Outreach Division is the place to
start when you don’t know where to go at DEQ. Our staff can:
l Refer you to appropriate technical staff.
l Foster communication between technical staff and the regulated community, local officials and citizens affected by DEQ activities.
l Explain environmental laws and regulations to the public in plain language
Address environmental concerns and problems.
l Ensure that the public receives accurate and timely information about Agency activities
l Provide a combination of free environmental information and education services including:
m environmental information and education materials in a variety of formats such as print, electronic or video.
m copies of rules and regulations and permitting requirement explanation
m public presentations and display
m personal visits to locations statewide
m answers to telephone and e-mail inquiries
m workshops and training as requested on environmental issues
m speakers
m displays at events throughout the state
