In 2011, the AQD completed a 5-year statewide assessment of its ambient monitoring network in accordance with 40 CFR part 58.10. The network assessment used historical monitored data, emissions, meteorological data and topographic data to perform a series of analyses. Results of these analyses were used to determine the most efficient and effective network for monitoring criteria pollutants, precursors, and meteorology. Results of this assessment are used to guide future monitor placement in Wyoming.
Appendices to Network Assessment
In 2008, the AQD also completed an assessment specific to Southwest Wyoming. Results of this assessment were incorporated into the 2011 Statewide Network Assessment. Documents related to the network assessment are available upon request to AQD.
